Unit description
This unit provides an understanding of innovation and emerging information technologies with an emphasis on web, Internet and mobile technologies and how they impact on our personal, social, and professional lives. This unit also examines issues and challenges related to innovation and emerging technologies.
Unit learning outcomes (ULO)
On the successful completion of this units student will be able to: | |
ULO1 | Explain emerging mobile technology concepts and areas. |
ULO2 | Investigate the reasons behind successful technological innovations. |
ULO3 | Identify the factors that drive the adoption of technological innovations by individuals, organisations, and society. |
ULO4 | Describe how to take advantage of opportunities through emerging technologies, and explain the factors that influence how relevant an emerging technology will be in the long run. |
